Remember those dreamy prom nights or really ‘looking forward to’ type dates. And then, something popped on your face - The whole life lay in shambles. Acne has been the bane of youth from ages. Still, we don’t have a sure cure in sight.
But, the following tips will help a lot:
- Not all cosmetics are Acne safe. The chemical ingredient in these can induce Acne
- Don’t wait long for improvement. Take immediate action and change your cosmetics.
- Oil is enemy. So use anything which has no oil.
- Check with your dermatologist before starting to use any new cosmetic. They may be able to tell you the acne inducing capability of a cosmetic
- All cosmetics should be used very sparingly by anyone who has or has had acne.
- When removing cosmetics, gentle cleansers, or plain soap and water, should be used – no harsh scrubbing.
- Even if a particular cosmetic has been recommended for use, stop using it if your acne suddenly becomes worse. Everybody’s skin is different, and what works for one person may not work for another.
- Some cosmetics can make your skin excessively dry, flaky or itchy – avoid those. All skin irritants can make your acne worse.
- Use cold water frequently to wash of dirt - don’t use soap everytime
- Avoid sleeping on your side as they might pressurize the Acne.
